    storing speakers

unfortunately, i am in a position, where i will need to store my speakers for at least a year. curious if storing speakers in an attic will damage them. attics get pretty hot during summer.
speakers sit in warehouses until they are shipped or purchased. figure these probably aren't air conditioned. may be they are.
    packaging may make the difference.
hate to sell them, but really hate to ruin them.
    thanks

Generally speaking, dampness, sunlight, chemical exposure, and age are the biggest causes of degredation. Attic heat may damage the adhesives used in cone construction. Clothes closets can work very well as safe storage.

Many manufacturers obsolete their current speakers with new product upgrades every year, so selling what you now have and buying suitable replacements in a year or so may be a wiser course.... eliminate storage risk and obtain improved performance.
