Question Your Advice Requested For Floor Speaker Purchase...plz Help?

    OK-
My brain is FRIED from all the research I have done the past few months on floor speakers.
I need help and request your best advice.

Can I get a review on the following two floor speakers?

    -Celestion (F30) 5 1/4" 3-Way Tower Speaker

-JBL STAGE Venue Series 6" 3-Way Floorstanding Speaker

I have no other model options...because I am purchasing one of these models from the Base Exchange store(I'm in the US Air Force).

So those two speakers are my ONLY choices.

    What do you recommend?

    I am all ears...THANKS!

    Hi and welcome,

The Celestions are reviewed on AR in the Review section. Not sure about the JBL. But if it were my green I go for the Celestion.
It is in my mind a more refind speaker.
    Good Luck.

    Peace

hmm, hard choice, the celestions might be better in some ways, the jbl's will go a few hz lower, though, so heres what i think
    celestions:
    +the celestions are more refined
    +have 2 midrange/bass drivers
-the 2 woofers are smaller then the jbl's drivers, but that one only haves one woofer.

    jbl's
+they go lower then the celestions
    +haves the bigger bass driver
    -haves only one bass driver

note that these are only a few things i came up with, there will be more i think, when you get the chance of hearing them, do that, this will help alot.
your genre of music might be important too.

JBL's are considered more highly on another forum I frequent. I'd get those.

Though I think you'll be happy with either choice.

    Thumbs up

    Thank you all....

I just purchased the CELESTION speakers for my new SAMSUNG 40 inch LCD.

    x2 CELESTION F30
    x1 CELESTION F35C
    Total $219.99(F30) + $75.99(F35C) = $295.98....NO TAX!

When I have the system all hooked up, I will let you all know how it sounds.

    thanks very much!
