    What would happen if.....

....I were to attach my 200 watt/ 4 ohm speakers to the 8 ohm terminals on my Mcintosh MA6900?

    Thanks!

    MacIntosh has Output Autoformers.
    200 watts stable at 8, 4, or 2 ohms.
But you should connect the the 4 ohm speakers to the 4 ohm terminals on the amp.
I do not know if it would hurt the amp if you connected 4 ohm to the 8 ohm terminals but it has terminals specifically for 4 ohm speakers.

    BTW fine piece of equipment.
