    Looking for slim profile speakers

I'm looking for some slim profile floor standing speakers. Currenly have Polk audio I think they are RTi 15's book shelf 6.5" speakers they sound good but my problem is with my new bigger TV I dont have as much room beside for the speakers to go back as far as before.. I'm thinking about 8 inches in depth at max prefer something less deep if possible. Cost I wanna spend would be about 400 bux plus taxes.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Get on eBay and try to score a pair of B&O Beovox RL 45/60... 6000/7000 speakers. They are still so far ahead of their time it's scary.

I have Paradigm Monitor 7 V.3's and they are wonderful. I think I paid $650 new two years ago. Nice slim profile.

How about the Boston Acoustics P4 series? You can mount them on the wall or use them with stands. Or if you prefer box speakers, Energy's foorstanders are fairly compact in that price range.
