    Polk audio setup

    My boys are moving into their first home (seperate houses) and I am in the process of putting together a system for each. The first will be a polk setup with the following:

    Fronts: Polk Rti 4
    Center: Polk CSR or CS1 (still on the fence about purchase)
    Rears: Polk T15
    Sub: Polk SW110

    Driven by Pioneer VSX 522K

    2nd system

    Driven by Pioneer Elite VSX 81TXS

    Fronts: Optimus LX5
    Center: Unknown at this time
    Rears: Pioneer sats
    Sub: Optimus PS100
    HT
    Pioneer Elite SC lx502
    Pioneer Elite N50
    Pioneer Cassette CTM66R
    Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD

    Vizio P series 2160p
    Panamax 5300 EX

    Congrats that sounds like it will get them started well!
    The LX5 is common enough (at least in my area) that I would just add another one for the Center channel in that secnd system.

    Try to keep them from spending money where they don't need too. Most of the speakers are from out of my house from the various systems I have. So dad gets to do some replacement upgrading and momma can't get to upset since I did help the boys

    well the final line up is shaping up

    On the first system I settled on a center channel by Polk CS250-S

    And on the 2nd set I was able to score on some older Polkies also

    Front: Monitor 60's
    Center: CS1 II
    Rears: Optimus LX5's
    Sub: Optimus Pro Sw100P
    HT
    Pioneer Elite SC lx502
    Pioneer Elite N50
    Pioneer Cassette CTM66R
    Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD

    The Polk speaker setup is a great start. I have an all Polk setup in one of my secondary systems. Four Polk RT25i (front and rear), CS245i (center) and PSW450 sub. Its powered by an Onkyo AVR. It sounds terrific in two channel or 5.1.

    I like the Polk's, as in, I have started redoing my system with Monitor 70's and the RTi A1's. I added a Onkyo TX-NR801 AV tuner. I also like the Vizio 55 incher. Things have changed so much from when I grew up.
