Smile Please help me find small sleek speakers to fit in a tight space

I have a small wall area that I would like to put my TV (Fujitsu Plasma 41") in the middle of the area, 1 center speaker on top of the TV, and 2 front speakers on both sides of the TV. Since the area is small, I only have 10" (width) on each side of the TV left for a speaker. So the size of the speaker shouldn't exceed 8" for a good look. That says the center speaker should match the side speakers as well. Can anyone please help me find a good decent set speakers that fit my need? I did some research but couldn't come up with a nice slim looking one. The Bose speakers is an option but I don't like the sound quality of the Bose at all. I am willing to spend in the range of $3000 for these 3 pieces. Please help.

Gallo is an excellent choice; also try PMC speakers....

Thank God you have the sense to drop Bose off your list. And save the Queen for this forum and all the facinating people and topics; along with the wonderful suggestions and hints and tips we offer each other. Gallo was a very good reply and possibly may have saved you from making a huge mistake with another brand. If you audition the Gallo's let us know by posting back to here. I have always wanted to here the large pair of Gallo's that are strange shaped and have the base woofers placed sideways.
Also try the PMC "Professional Monitor Company" they offer a slim fit tower with smaller drivers and there unique cabinet that helps the drivers produce a deeper bass response with timing and distance, even the center channel has this feature. I found them very warm sounding and even off axis they sounded great.
    Sorry to ramble away.............

The little Gallos are good but even the Dues don't go down much below about 150 Hz in a room. Try instead the TBI Majestic Diamond II as they have a much fuller range and are quite musical.

    Totem or Monitor Audio

If I were you, I would try the Totem Hawk (6.75" wide). Amazing full range floorstanders:
    http://www.totemacoustic.com/english...nding_hawk.htm

I was in the same boat as you, looking for some slim floorstanders, and the only reason I passed on the Totems is because they are not magentically shielded and, pathetically, I still have a tube TV. But you have a plasma so that will not be a problem.

I ended up with the Monitor Audio Silver rs6, and I couldn't be happier. Truly full range, I have no need for a sub or even a center for that matter. Clearly, the Totems are much better, but if you wanted to save some money, for around $1k you could pick the rs6's up. They are outstanding bang for the buck.

Mirage nanoset sysetm or omnisat v2 speakers with subwoofer of you rchoice. Both can be found at crutchfield. I have the omnisat satellite speakers and they sound great for the price with a large soundstage and excellent presence.

Another vote for the Totems here. They have excellent sound IMO.

No, I thought this is a great oppotunity to give Bose's "double cube" a try. You'll get a sleek looking display with a decent MOVIE sounding. I'm personally against Bose mainly because it is over priced but because of 5" space on each side, Bose would be on top of the list to RESEARCH on. Other note: since your budget can stretch up to $3K, I'm not sure what I'd do. I personally wouldn't pay $3K for a full set up 7.1 or 5.1 from Bose.
How about some decent 6" or 8" in-wall speakers?

Nothing to add to the thread (OP went Casper anyway), but a few of you guys are getting mighty brave with your avatars.

    Just a thought.
