OK, let me rephrase my question...
Hello all, Is it possible to buy a good or even great DVD recorder for around $1k? What features should I look for? Should it have HD capabilities because I'm going to buy an HD TV someday? I don't know anything about them (I'm still using a VCR). Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Michael

Sure you can rephrase your question. Now all you have to do is take it out of the Speaker forum!

    This Guy
Why get a dvd recorder when you can just get a burner for your computer. Buy one for about $150 and the software is around $60. The copy is perfect and is identical to the original. Look for the Xcopy software, I've been using it since November and never had a problem. Oh and it's WAY cheaper too.
