new K2 S9900 tomorrow
On Feb. 25th, JBL will introduce the replacement for the K2 S9800, the all new K2 S9900. It's one amazing, expensive speaker, though at $44k+ a pair, certainly not the most expensive out there.

What, no Everest? And how about a McKinley or a Rainier for us regular folks?

Yeah, but are they as good as Bose?

Your wife/GF/significant other might not think so: "Oh the Bose is so cute!"
But you might actually care about how they sound. :16:

So there is an Everest? I spoke too soon. Anyhow, what's the deal with JBL, they not only have super-expensive speakers, but also some of the cheapest speakers you can find. Somehow I don't think that's an advantage for them.
To anyone who must have Bose: check out Gallo. They are even more feminine-looking, too.

So, what exactly is a "specially reinforced diaphragm tray"? Does it come with birth control devices for the price? :)
