    Monitor Audio Bronze speakers

    Hello!

this is the first time writing in this Forum, although I have been visiting it often the past few weeks. So congratulations for all participants - you have really helped in many matters.

So I guess it's about time to ask my question:-) I am planning on buying the bronze series of Monitor Audio (6, 2, center and the ASW-100 sub) mostly for home-theater purposes but for music as well. Only thing that troubles me is the relatively low nominal impedance (6Ohm - lowest value is not mentioned in specifications). Do you know anybody having these speakers? What AV amplifier do you think it would match? (I hope it's a proper question to ask in this section).

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated:-)

    Thanks in advance!

    Ma bronze

I don't own them, but I live in the Uk not far from where they are made, and several dealers.

MA bronze are a good value. They are punchy, dynamic and easy to listen to. They are forgiving, but the weakness is they are not the most articulate or detailed.

They are nice for the money, and I have heard them mated with several products from:
NAD, Rotel, Musical fidelity, Roksan, Denon and even a tube amp or two.

They seem to sound decent with 75 watts or better. With the 60 watt Bryston integrated, they sounded a bit better than a 100 watt denon.

    Thanks...

Thank you very much for the responce. Actually I live in Greece so there are very few places where I can hear them (there are some nevertheless) but even fewer people who own them. They're definately more expensive than in the UK so I guess for their money (which is some amount) they are a good solution.

    Thanks again!

    Epos

I am not sure what brands are available in Greece, but:

Speakers that retail for under $700 a pair that are worth looking into:

EPOS (these are much better than monitor audio)
    PSB
    Paradigm
    B&W
    Acoustic Energy
    Mission
    Kef cresta
    Tannoy
