Looking for two inexpensive passive subs.
I am looking for two inexpensive passive subs. My system sounds best on "pure direct" (no output to my powered sub) but my speakers only go down to 40 htz at best. My system will allow me to bi-amp the main speakers so I would like to add passive subs. Does anyone have any advice on where I can get these. I have only seen a few available and their prices were too high. If all else fails I could build a couple for under $100 total.

    Thanks,

I agree with the DIY route if possible. You won't find many options available to you commercially that are designed for what you have in mind.

    Svs
Why don't you get a SVS ?They' ve got some inexpensive and excellent
    passive subwoofers.I'd rather like'em active.They'll go down to 16Hz!!!!
    You won't hear it,but you'll surely feel it!! :D
