Loading Shot in Vienna Audio Mozart Speakers?

I am about to receive a pair of Vienna Audio Mozart Speakers. In the reviews I hear a lot of good things but I also hear people say that they work best after your put about 35lbs of lead shot in the bottom. Why? What does this accomplish?

the general idea is to stabilize the speaker to minimize vibrations that might interfer with the articulation of the sound. People who do so have different results. If you break them inn and feel the sound is not as tight as it should/could be, you may want to give it a shot (pun intended).
