    Klipsch or Bic PL200
I just had an MK 75 M2 fail and I need a new sub for my home theater.
I have always liked Klipsch Reference 12" subs, but I've read a few bad reviews about them since I began my search. Any opinions on the Klipsch 12" Reference sub?

While searching different sub comparisons on the web I cam across the BIC PL200 which has gotten rave reviews and only costs about $350.00. Conveniently I'd like to stay under $500.00

Any opinions on either sub? And which would you suggest? My room size is 25' x 15'. Harmon Kardon AVR325 receiver and all Infinity Primus surround speakers.

    Thanks in advance.

If you are serious about your $500.00 budget, I would highly rec to read up on some HSU products.

    - HSU VTF-1 MK2. Cost is $449 + 45.00 shipping. Simply put, it is a VERY solid choice at the top of anyone's $500.00 budget. Variable port tuning, 25Hz in room extension, nice gob of power, and build quality that trumps everything in it's shadow.
    - One notch down from that would be The STF-2. At $329.00 + $43.00 shipping, it is truly a bargain box that simply stomps on anything under $400.00.

Just me, I really do not think Klipsch, Bic, Polk Audio, Energy, Velodyne, or any other big box brands have a dog in the under $500.00 fight...HSU kinda owns that arena, my opinion.

I would take a look at some of these used subs if you want to save money-

In that price range, I'd be looking at either Hsu or SVS.
