I've been thinking of this 5:1 PMC & M&K setup....

Velodyne SPL-800R was purchased earlier this month and I love the tight accurate bass. The DSP setup was very cool too. The sub seems like an extension of my speakers. Completely transparent and seamless

    Fronts and center 3 x PMC DB1+

    Rears 2 x XENON Series SURROUND-25 Tripole

I would also consider going all M&K replacing the fronts with LCR-36 HG

What receiver would be a good fit for these extremely accurate quality speakers?

I was thinking of the Yamaha 1700. Is this receiver good enough?

My room is 13'X16' and WAF applies.

    Any opinions would be appreciated.

I would stick with the all M&K setup -- if only to be consistent. But that's just me being cautious. Both M&K and PMC are damn fine speakers.

    I don't know about receivers.
