    Help! Old speakers--polarity not marked

I have a pair of old Fisher speakers I want to use, but the polarity is not marked. One terminal is marked GROUND/COM. Is that the positive or negative terminal? Thanks very much.

As long as the cabling was identical on each speaker you should be OK. Another way to check polarity would be to use a AA battery. With cables connected touch each of the conductors to each end of the battery. If the cone moves out, the conductor touching the positive end of the battery is positive.
