    subwoofer help

I'm trying to decide between the B&W ASW 600 and the SVS 25-31 pci. I've listened to the B&W many times and read good reviews about the SVS. Which one would you guys recommend? Also, if you suggest SVS, would you recommend the box or the cylinder? Thanks.

I have never heard the B&W, but I have an older SVS 20/39PC and it will literally knock shelves off the walls upstairs and on the other side of the house. Also, very good with music.

Well, if you go for the SVS box you will be looking at the PB12-ISD. IMO, you would be better off going with the Rocket UFW-10. It is every bit as good as the SVS 20-39CSi for HT (I currently own one) and is better for music. For looks, it is much more compact (13.25" x 13" x 13.5") and looks better, IMO. Rosewood, birds eye maple, or Ebony as opposed to the black of the SVS cylinder (which is still very nice). Of the two, my vote would be for the SVS, a fantastic subwoofer. Overall, if you throw the UFW-10 into the mix I'd go with it without hesitation.
