i am currently running a nakamichi av-1 , with paradigm mini montors and center with newly purchased energy c-500 front speakers
k firstly im getting some static noise from my right front speaker im not sure if my amp is on the fritz also when i turn the volume up past a quarter the system clips. im not sure if the speakers are insufficient or my av-1 is done.
the energy speakers are rated for a 100 watts and have a 94db sensitivity rating my av-1 is 100x4 i believe. ne1 know nething about these speakers or if i have mismatched and need a higher end speaker???

sounds like your amp is having trouble, but without some testing you wont know for sure. swap the right and left speakers, if the the problem stays on the right, then the problem is not with the speakers. if you can try the speakers on another amp, or the amp on another set of speakers it would give you a better idea of whats going wrong.
