    Epos Elan Versus Epos Epic

Here's the difference in the twin speakers of Epos....

Epos new line Elan and Epos Epic.

    Elan 30 $1999.00 pair

    Epic 5 $1399.00 pair

    From the information I gathered:

]Elan has upgraded drivers - cast basket is one difference

Elan is hard wired inside with solid core wire

    Elan has upgraded crossover components

Elan's wood veneer adds weight and damping to cabinets

    Baffle design is different
    - Elan has grill attachment with fewer holes for less diffraction.
I may have to really think about a pair of the Elans...I love the look of that Elan 30.

Both are beautiful and not much difference in price. I would love to hear them side by side.

The élan looks nicer. Does the élan 30 use the same size drivers as the epic? I had assumed the 30 would use smaller drivers and the 50 would have the same size as the epic.

It's interesting hear how they differ technically. Their both "monkey coffins" though.

Not sure about the driver size. I assumed as you, but the only infor I could find on driver sizes is Elan 15 has 7"woofer; Elan 10 has 6" woofer
