    Does Velodyne DPS-12 12 come w/remote?
    Hi All,
I'm going to buy a Velodyne DPS-12 12 online for a friend that has no 'net access. He says the Velodyne DPS-12 12 he saw at Circuit City or Best Buy came with a remote but any descriptions I see online don't mention a remote. Is it an optional remote? What models have a remote included w/the sub? Thanks!

He might have been looking at the SPL-R series sub which does come with a remote and which, I believe, the "R" stands for. It also comes with an room correction equalizer which is better than nothing. I have an SPL-II model: great sub.

DPS-12 doesn't come with a remote, unless velodyne forgot to put mine in the box.

I'd use one. More so for music where the bass line registers at different voulmes with different recordings. It would also be useful for calibration. But is my life a total loss becaue my sub doesn't have a remote? No, not becaue of that.
