Chosing the rights ohms output for my receiver.

Things just keep getting more complicated.

Hi, I am currently in the process of putting together a 2.0 system. When reading the manual for my new receiver I noticed that I have the choice between a 6 or 8ohm output. I know it has something to do with driving the speakers and that less ohms translate to more work for the receiver, correct? The stats of my speakers are listed below. What would make more sense for me 6 or 8ohms?

    Thanks .

    Frequency Response: Lf Cutoff -10 dB, 32 Hz; (-6 dB) 38 - 23,000 Hz
    Sensitivity (1w (2.83V) @ 1m, IEC-filtered Pink Noise, C-weighted): Anechoic Chamber, 86 dB; Typical Listening Room, 88 dB
Impedance: Nominal, 6 Ohms; Minimum, 4 Ohms
Input Power (RMS,Clipping < 10% of the Time): Recommended, 15-200 Watts; Program, 100 Watts
    Crossover: 2,200 Hz, B3
Internal Volume Design Type: 0.50 cu ft (14 liter)
    Dimensions: 8-1/2" wide, 15-3/8" high, 11-1/2" deep
    Weight: 18.5 lbs. each

You will be fine. You have the PSB GB-1's right? They are 6 ohm speakers and your receiver will have no problems driving it. The nominal impedance is 6 ohms and that is what you go by without getting technical.

Yes, set it to 6 ohms although it probably won't make much difference to the amp.
