They look pretty cool. Do they sound good though?
-
Yea they look nice.........but I don't see how aluminum would make for a great cabinet
-
I agree. Also,if I read the subwoofer size right it only comes in 15".I owned some Rockford Fosgate 12" subs & 1 of the 12" RF subs had better spec. than that.

The secret is to take advantage of aluminium resonance...
I think this factory has a lot of sound lover that dedicate all his time to the develpment of the product...
I listen to this speakers at TOP AUDIO in Milan, and they were absolutly the best..
Great bass! Incredible!
And the design it's incredible! Simple but always actual!

I think they cost about 1000€ each one in Italy...
Very cheap
-
Do they have American distribution yet?
They certainly look cool.
And aluminum can be made to sound inert -- see, for example, O'Heocha's designs.
-
hmm, dunno if i'm ready for aluminum yet...i'll stick with good 'ol MDF for now...

Krell speakers use aluminum enclosures. I haven't heard them but they have been very favorably reviewed. They are also rather pricey.

aluminum is very low resonence, hail the Krell, very pricey, you bet ya' I heard them in PHX I didn't try because of the price or the look on the salesmans face but' I probably could have hit them with a kentucky slugger and not got a sound out of those cabinents other than the crack of the bat!!!

An aside, I love my Martin Logans, they have no cab what soever, except for the bass enclosure, and, I must say I prefer the open air no backwaves to interfear with the mid's, but. that's just me and my room, If you are going the fully enclosed speaker route the encloser better be inert!!!!

I used free air subwoofers once.I prefer 1.5-2.0 cft sealed boxes.I bought a pair of Pioneer 16" Home 3-way speakers for my home.I put 800hz & 600HZ blockers for the tweeters & the mids.I have a Q though about the speaker being shown being made with aluminum. Why would that be a good choice? For looks?????

Light and sturdy, that's why.
