    AAD Speaker Company
Mr. Peabody did you know that AAD Speaker Company has its US head-quarters in St. Louis over on page? I see they sell the high-end line over at MUSIC FOR PLEASURE. Have you heard them and how do they sound if you have?

I did find one review from one of their middle line of speakers from a guy who bought a pair from Music For Pleasure...http://www.audioreview.com/cat/speak...2_1594crx.aspx

seems to be a favorable speaker company. Any body know of these speakers?

Anyone recognized the name "Phil Jones"? The AAD speakers are conventional box designs that, if you believe the specs and technical discussions, offer the potential for very good performance. The prices aren't low so you could dare hope for decent quality.

Their Silver Reference serious employes an interesting tweeter whose diaphram is supposedly integrated with the voice coil; a horn/defractor arrangement is used control dispersion. Interesting concept, IMHO.

The questions are standard in the case of smaller manufacturers:
    • How good do their products sound vs. larger manufacturers' products for a given price?
    • How reliable are they?
    • How are they distributed and what happens if repairs are necessary?
    • What about resale value, (if that's a factor for you)?
