Currently 10106 users online

On the bottom of main forum page it shows how many active users are online and as of now it says "There are currently 10106 users online. 76 members and 10030 guests".

I don't believe that is corect number. For one thing if you watch number of users online, it never fluctuate as it is always compounding. Second if you click on the name of some of "currently online members", you notice that some have logged in 2, 3 weeks or a month ago, but yet they remain currently online.

So the conclusion is that number is static rather than dynamic

What is the point?

This is what I see 20 out of 24 hours a day

You may search for posts updated during the previous 24 hours, here"
