I'm hoping someone can recommend a compatible HD receiver for an old (2002?) Mitsubishi WS-55908 TV. Mitsubishi doesn't make the HD-1080 (vintage 2003?) which was the unit made for that purpose.

I'd like to figure out if it makes sense to get an ebay upgrade or look at a new tv ($!$!$!). Pros - cons?
