hey guys, im fairly new to this stuff and im in need of a good set of speakers for my computer. im looking for a 2.1 setup within $0-$300 dollar range. i edit audio and make tracks and such, but most of all, its where all my music is stored. they need to be accurate, powerful, and good with the basses. any ideas?, cause i have no idea whats good and whats not. thanxs for lookin

In that case, I'd recommend the Swans M200 from Newegg. After trying them, if you think you still need a subwoofer, then I would recommend this Dayton 10" one.

those monitors look good. knowing the monitors we use at work, a subwoofer is not really needed, but i might check that out too. any other suggestions?

The Swans M-200 are the best multi-media speakers for music that I know of. Some reviews of them are here and here. You may also want to consider Cambridge Soundworks, but I doubt that their multi-media speakers have the accuracy that you are looking for.
