Did anyone see that Orange Bowl? (OT)

First off - the game sucked

Then came the half-time show. First, a little history...the Orange Bowl actually originated the overlong, bloated half-time show, propelling those dreadful 'Up With People' into thinking they were a viable act back in the '70s. These extended half-times can't be good for the game and are a poke in the eye to real fans. And the performances were terrible. Ashley Simpson got booed when she came on and she responded by demonstrating why she lipsyncs in the first place (she absolutely sucks). The idea that some record company 'suit' is still trying push Simpson on the public is way more vulgar IMO than anything Janet Jackson did.

In most of the performers defense, there were some major audio equipment failures that even affected the commentators at times. I just hope that blunders like this one (and the SuperBowl) will help put a fork in these tedious displays of record company pablum. Its about football anyway, isn't it?
