    Help needed with Subwoofer Selection

    I am looking at two Subwoofers- a Sony (front firing) 8" SA WM250 and a Yamaha (down firing ) 8" YST 215.....Any input on which of these is the better choice is appreciated!

    I haven't heard those two firsthand, but based on past experience I would choose the Yamaha. I think you can probably do better than that, however, if you spend a little bit more. What is your budget?

    You may want to consider this Dayton 10" 100W subwoofer instead. It will outperform the Sony and Yamaha subwoofers you have been considering so far.

    as "bargainseeker" has suggested you might want to consider it.
    It is in one of the best subs you can buy for the money. Much
    better than Yahama or Sony, IMO..... Vardo
