among the various ones out there right now. I bought a Monster Light Speed 200 optical interconnect for my CD changer for $60 for a 1 meter which I consider kinda pricey, but it seems to be noticeably better made than the one it replaces. It has an aluminum housing with an updated strain relief and fiber positioning system which is supposed to keep the optical fibers in the right position at all times. It also is much bigger in diameter at over 1/4 inch. And I do detect an audible difference in sonic performance, although slight.

I'm familiar with the various wire type interconnects and their differences but don't really know what to look for in an high quality optical cable for music mainly. And by the way, does anyone think interconnects, wire or otherwise, "break in" like speakers and amps, etc...? Just curious.

Thanks!
