    Absolute 2 speakers

    Hello,

I am a technician from the English Martyrs School in Hartlepool. I Have a couple of Soundcraft Absolute 2 speakers. They have been used a lot over the last few years and have been crystal clear. However, we used them the other day and both speakers sound wooly and fuzzy. Does this mean hey have blown? the voice coil may have gone? they need reconing? if you could shed any light on this i would be most grateful.

    Many Thanks

What has taken place since the last time you used them and they sounded fine. Have they been disconnected, stored, moved, etc?

It might be something as simple as being out of phase. Also it might not be the speakers. Do you have any other speakers you could hood up and compare?

    Give is some more details.

    steoasis,

Small world! Me Gran still lives at Cliff Terrace on the Headlands.

Have you tried them on another stereo?
