    Johnny Ramone dead?

Unconfirmed rumor, but he didn't make it to the Ramones tribute show in LA the other night with X & the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dickies, Eddie Vedder, Rob Zombie, et al. 3/4 of the Ramones dead, hard to believe.

    I don't like others.

Well that sucks. I had hoped the reports were in error but it even made the KC paper this morning. I don't know much about his personal life but it's a shame he wasn't able to live longer and enjoy his legacy after so many years of hard work, much of it in relative obscurity compared to lesser bands.

I'll be spinning some Ramones today to be sure.

    I'm not really a "fan"....

    but even I dug:

    Sheena is a Punk Rocker
    I want to be Sedated
    RocknRoll Highschool

They never changed, never sold out. Often imitated but never duplicated.

    They'll be missed.

    sad indeed...

    I'm starting to feel old.

The Ramones were true originators. Just glad to have memories and records.
