B&W SCM1 (Nautilus), SCM or 805 Matrix, for rear speakers

    Hi lads,
I am about to change from 5.1 to 7.1 (or even 7.2)

At the moment my gear is

    Marantz SR8500

    B&W 804 Matrix
    B&W HTM Matrix
    B&W DS6
    B&W ASW 600

I am thinking of upgrading with:
    Emotiva XPA 7 CH Gen3
    B&W PV1D (maybe*)
But then...... Rear speakers.... Which would you go for?

Hope someone is strong in 'old gear'... I am also thinking of buying a second hand pair of B&W 802D, however - not sure if wife will bust my balls over spending that much ;-)

The site is really screwed up right now and completely inundated with spam. If you refresh the page, it seems to clear it up some.

As for your OP, it depends on your budget. B&W's are all voiced the same, the difference being the refinement and dynamics as you go up the line. For surrounds, some smaller monitors such as 805's, 601's, or even CM's should be more than adequate for HT. If you listen to a lot of mc music, you're going to want to get the closest thing to your 804's that you can afford.

    Hope that helps
