Help to diagnose the issue with the speakers

    Dear experts,

I have a sound system made of the base and two speakers (left and right).

The jacks from the right and left speakers go into the base, and also the power and the volume control cable go into the base.

One of the 'holes' where the left jack enters does not work. However both of left and right speakers work well, when I insert them alternatively into the right-side 'hole'.

Also to note that the 9-pins input jack from the volume control has little rust, but it works.

Do you have any suggestion about what could be broken or not properly functioning ?

It could be that the left channel is out. If you feel comfortable taking it apart, see if a wire has come loose from the jack. Are you getting any sound from the left channel, static, etc. If so-

Get some deoxit and clean the input jack and see if this fixes the problem.
