    "Gone Girl"

Interesting film. I can't give much plot away except be very careful who and what you marry!!!! Affleck does a decent job as the husband. Rosamund Pike is amazing as Afflecks "complicated" wife. The actress that "steals for show" for me though was Carrie Coon who plays Afflecks twin sister. He dialogue is witty, bright and heartfelt. Lots of commentary on "trial by television" and the celebrity "talking heads" are squarely in the crosshairs. If Nancy Grace see's this flick her head will explode. It's a good movie... solid "B" but not a great movie and it's at least 15 minutes too long.

I read the book and the ending did not inspire me to see the movie. The sister was also a great character in the book. I picture Joan Cusack playing her if the movie had been made 20 years ago.

Gotta narrow it down my friend, pick a genre.

Drama: Both "Godfathers", "12 Years a Slave"

    Romance: "Casablanca"

War: "They Were Expendable", "Glory", "The Cruel Sea", "12 O'clock High".

Comedy: "Blazing Saddles", "The Producers", "Bridesmaids".

SciFi: "2001", "Them", "The Thing (From Another World", "Aliens", CE3K.

Adventure: "Jaws", "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

Just off the top of my head. I've given longer lists in the past.
