JBL Loft speakers?

Hi all,
First post here. Thanks in advance for any help and comments.
Does anyone have any experience with or knowledge of the JBL Loft series speakers? Specifically the Loft 40.
I've done my best at due diligence via google and I can't find anything substantive. No expert reviews and only a smattering of consumer reviews. No place near me stocks them, so I can't test them in person.
I'm considering these for music use only with a modestly powered T-amp (Topping TP20), in a relatively small room. I don't need or want thundering bass and ear splitting volumes, but rather I favor clear and crisp (if that makes any sense) sound.
My budget is limited and the Loft 40s can be had for a song (pardon the pun). I've also considered various Polks, the Adam Jones Pioneers, as well as some used options.

Welcome to AR. I'm not familiar with the Loft series but JBL has been putting out some good speakers lately with the LS & Studio series. I'll inquire to a local guy who sells JBL and see if I can't find out something.
