    Temperature?

How cold is it where you're at, or warm. I shouldn't forget about the people that are sweating in January.

It's 3 degrees here in Delaware. Wind chill is -17.

My dog and I waited to hit the zero degrees mark before we went for our walk. A nice brisk hour and a good time was had by all. I wondered where all the other dog owners were this morning.

Here in London, Ontario, at 6 AM this morning it was -25C/-13F; with windchill, -39C/-38F.

Damned cold, but I've been out in worse in Regina, Saskatchewan: -37C/-35F with a windchill of -50C/-58F. That's no fun, friends.

Feanor, I have a friend who lives in London and her kids' high school was closed yesterday for an "ice day". Yikes!

That's right: in fact today even Univ.of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College classes were cancelled -- and there wasn't even much snow over night.

It hit minus 22 the other night here in the Twin Cities. Last night it was minus 15. We are having a heat wave this morning as it is +5F. I think I will break out the shorts!

I have friends in the Twin Cities who claim they never put them away. Handy for a day like today.

When the temp gets up to about 30F after a few weeks of 0F, you will see people in shots and a jacket. I know a guy who moved from the TC's to New Mexico and he walks around in shorts in 40F weather there and the locals think he is crazy.

The sun is shining, the temp was +10 when we started out for our walk. Very little wind in the Licking Valley. I thought to myself what a pleasant morning to be out.

LOL! It's all relative isn't it? I used to know a guy who spent 2 years living in Yellowknife. He came home to Toronto after his kayak tipped into the Yukon River and he walked two miles in snow to find a place where he could phone for help. He lost a few toes to frostbite and was lucky not to lose his feet.

Once back in Toronto he spent the entire winter walking around in a fleece lined jean jacket while the rest of us hunkered down in our goose down jackets, hats and scarves.

    We're up to -11C right now with a wind chill of -18. That's 12F with a windchill of 0F.

It's expected to go up to 6C (43F) on Saturday. Hopefully, that's correct as we really need a good melt to get rid of the ice still hanging around from our pre-Christmas ice storm.

Its been down to -15F with out the windchill this week. I hate the cold! I love the Twin Cites but the cold is going to cause me to move in the next few years, possibly to Albuquerque, NM.

Yes, it's getting kinda tedious. I thought London, ON, would be a piece of cake after Regina, SK, and maybe it is but I'd gotten use to better than this.

With wind chill it was down to -31C (-24F) earlier this week around here. Worst I've been outdoors in personally was -50C (-58F) in Regina; I wasn't out for long, thank goodness.

Don't all doctors aspire to move to NM or AZ - certainly a good number of Canadian doctors do and it isn't just our "socialist" health care system.

Alb. NM is a cooler than Phoenix area and actually has some seasons. My ex-partner, best friend and fellow audio enthusiast moved down there last year and loves it. I am going to visit him the end or March.

It is currently -3C. That's the warmest it's been so far this year, I think. It's supposed to reach 0 on Saturday...but with that comes more snow.

If that groundhog sees his shadow on Sunday, I'm getting out the shotgun to kill that little fucker!

You have to do it from the Advanced box. Type the word, highlight one letter and change the colour to black (even though it's already black). Putting the HTML code into the word seems to bypass the censor.
