    July movie previews

    So many start studded movies this month.

    Ranked by release date:

    Despicable Me 2: All-new comedy adventure featuring the return of (former?) super-villain Gru (Steve Carell), his adorable girls, the unpredictably hilarious Minions...and a host of new and outrageously funny characters.


    The Lone Ranger:Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) and man of the law John Reid (Armie Hammer) are opposites brought together by fate and must join forces to battle greed and corruption.


    Hammer of the Gods:Set in the violent world of Viking Britain in 871 AD, Hammer of the Gods is the story of a young Viking warrior, sent by his father the King on a quest to find his estranged brother.


    Pacific Rim: When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity's resources for years on end.


    Killing Season: An action movie set in the Appalachian Mountains about an American military veteran (De Niro) who has retreated to a remote cabin in the woods.


    R.I.P.D.: A recently slain cop joins a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him.


    Red 2: A sequel to the hit action film about a group of retired CIA agents forced back into action.


    Turbo: Turbo is the story of a garden snail with an impossible dream: to win the Indy 500. When a freak accident gives him extraordinary speed, Turbo sets out to try to make this dream come true.


    The Wolverine:Wolverine travels to Japan to train with a samurai warrior.


    Frankenstein's Army: Takes place toward the end of World War II, as Russian soldiers push into eastern Germany and stumble across a secret Nazi lab where the scientists have used the legendary Frankenstein's work to assemble an army of super-soldiers stitched together from the body parts of their fallen comrades.

    Looks like some good ones to get you out of the summer heat. Lone Ranger looks like a joke. Remember Wild Wild West.

    Lone ranger is produced by Disney so not expecting a hard hitting movie as it probably be candy coated. I always thought that Lone Ranger was the star of the show. And now with Tonto (Johnny Depp) being a bigger star, Lone Ranger doesn't carry as much clout
