    Using first MP3 player...

Santa is bringing me a Samsung 3.6 for Christmas. I have a goodly collection of redbook CD's, 'better' CD's, vinyl, etc. and have never copied over to a computer since I have had no reason to do so. I went android because I didn't want to be tied to Apple iTunes, and would like some suggestions for using other than Windows MP to copy CD's and organize before moving to Samsung, so I can be ready for Santa! If this post is not in the correct forum, someone let me know and I'll move.
    Many thanks

    Welcome to AR!

I use Exact Audio Copy for copying CD's to HDD. EAC does bit perfect copies and it's free. Most "rippers" don't do bit perfect rips.

There are several player applications you can try for free. A couple of them are, Foobar, Songbird, Real Player and VLC. You can also try JRiver media center which has a free and a for pay version.
