    Time for New Sub

I have had my Paradigm Speakers for some time now. My sub woofer on my PDR-12 needs to be replaced. I am thinking about just replacing the woofer. I found this one: 12" Heavy Duty Replacement Woofer, Poly Mica Cone, Rubber Edge, 4 Ohm. Do you think it is worth trying or should I just get new sub something like Amazon.com: Polk Audio PSW505 12-Inch Powered Subwoofer (Single, Black): Electronics ? Pretty sure the woofer is just bad. I have had for a long time. I have monitor 7's for mains CC150 for center and mini monitors for surrounds. I have replaced some tweeters and a woofer over time but they still sound pretty good.

I would ask Paradigm what TS properties are required in a replacement for proper operation. Inserting a woofer merely because it's the right size is a surefire recipe for mediocre performance at best.

I think I will just go with the Polk Audio PSW505 12-Inch Powered Subwoofer . All the reviewer seem to be happy with it. I have gotten my moneys worth from my paradigm.
