    gettin' the blues

There's an sizable blues dump on this site under a theme heading of "3 Days of the Dalton". Many are multi-volume Library of Congress recordings and complete works (Jelly Roll, Prison recordings, Leroy Carr, Bessie Smith, Leadbelly, Woody Guthrie). Not a bad way to deeply sample some history...

Off topic a bit, but I've tried to navigate and listen to some of the stuff the Library of Congress has put up (and I think it's wonderful that they've done it), but it is so hard to determine what I'm going to hear off a given record, I just gave up.
And the world will turn to flowing pink vapor stew.

I've been checking that out- they have some old prog rock from back in the twenties. Amazing to see who Mike Portnoy was playing with back then.
