Audeze LCD-2 Version 2

So the new version of the LCD-2 is out, still called the LCD-2 though, but with some changes:

1) There is a new driver that is supposed to result in improved bass and, more importantly, to create more extended highs (as the LCD-2 have been criticized as being much darker sounding than other high end headphones).

2) The metal headband with exposed memory foam (often criticized for looking cheap and nasty) has been replaced with a sexy looking leather headband.

I like both changes... and so far the feedback I've read has been overwhelmingly positive... My main reservation about the LCD-2 was that persons described them as being Dark.... A smooth but extended high end sounds a lot more like what I'm looking for...

Note: you can buy the new leather headband (for $100) as an upgrade for the older version... Also, you can save $50 by buying the new version with the fugly metal headband....

WOW I wish there was a pair at CAS I could have heard. I'd love to own a pair - of the new or old ones. Still the most realistic and awesome sounding headphones I've ever heard.
