Need a quality audio switcher

With only one input on my integrated amp I would appreciate recommendations for a quality audio switcher.

if you don't mind a little DIY'ing, get yourself a DACT rotary switch, or another good equivalent (Alps, ...), and quality RCA sockets, and start soldering...

the russound TMS-1 and the radio shack 42-2105 realistic tape control center will do nicely. made to handle up to three tape recorders.

i use my TMS-1 to hook up my tape recorders and cdr to the preamp and its is just the ticket.

I've been using a Russound TMS-1 for years. I bought it new in the 70's. Every 5 years or so I disassemble it and clean it with Deoxit. Currently I have three cassette decks connected to it. It's connected to the one of the tape loops on my SP-9. My only complaint is that the little rubber bumper feet disappeared years ago..

go to your local electronics store and they have stick on feet of different sizes. i just bought some to put on a laptop yesterday at Electronic City on burbank blvd in burbank california. i also use a hunk of lead to weigh it down, the wires are more formidable than the unit.

i got mine back in about '75 too, new. i guess i should de-ox-it too.

I've already replaced the bumpers with some larger square stick on ones. Yes, "audiophile" cables do make it unstable. A bag of sand and lead shot is holding it down. I didn't need it when I first bought it.

I second Basite's suggestion.
For non-DIY guys, I think below products would be sufficient.

I have only two stereo line-level inputs in my integrated tube amplifier, and I wanted to switch one input between a HD tuner, and a streaming audio input from my computer... The Niles PS-1 seems to be a perfect solution... It has two in (l+r), and one output to amp... Thanks for the tip on Niles products... (m.)

I'm glad to see the Radio Shack switcher got some votes. I wasn't sure it would get any love around here. When I opened mine up, it is all solid contacts, straight and thick conductors, and has remained corrosion free for twenty years now. Cost $15. Looks super cheap. Does what it should.
