    Suggestions on....

I am new to all fo this and looking for somre help and recommendations. Looking to replace/upgrade my current speakers and surroound sound. I am looking for hard wired front and center speakers into a denon receiver and need WIRELESS for the sub and rear.

Any help and suggestions especially the sub and rear which need to be wireless as my house is on a slab and the room has carpeting which my wife will not allow me to pull up to up speaker wire.

    Thanks!

Don't go wireless as it will be costly and the sound will never match hard wiring.

A much cheaper option is to use plastic conduit from Lowes to run your wires through. It attaches to your baseboard with an adhesive backing. It's white or woodtone but if necessary can be painted any color to match your baseboards. I used some to run speaker wires up a wall once and you could hardly tell it was there.

A sub works better nearer the front mains but I suppose you can put it towards the rear of the room if you absolutely have to. Don't waste money on a long Monster cord. Lengthy runs for a sub is ok but use cheaper cord ( Monoprice ). Some folks hide their subs under furniture. I saw one built into a coffee table and mine is behind a built in bookshelf door which I open when it's playing.

I myself used this kind of wire conduit in my present room for my rear speakers and it worked out great. there are ways to install a home theater even in a rental home that will not do any structural damage or make you have to be a carpenter to install.

To recommend "something better" it helps to know what you have now. Also, it helps to know budget and what percent will you use it for movies and for music.

The Samsung HT -C6900W is a complete Home theater with wireless sub and rears.
I think most manufacturers make a separate wireless sub and separate wireless rears. I know that Philips and Samsung do. But how well they will fit and match your stuff can only be determined by trying it out and listening.
