    Music for Snow

Oh hey guys! All of my fellow midwesterners okay? Last night we got at least 20 inches here in Minneapolis... enough to collapse the roof of the Metrodome. I got the call to go into work at around 4pm yesterday even though I wasn't scheduled because all of my other coworkers live farther out and were snowed in-- I still had to walk 5 miles in whiteout conditions to get there because there was no way my bike was up to the task (never have I wanted more to invest in one of those Pugsleys). Someone was finally able to dig out and come relieve me at 8:30am this morning so now I'm back home and preparing to tackle all the shoveling that accumulated overnight... 4 foot drifts in front of our house. In that spirit, gimme some snow-themed jams to keep my spirits up!

    NO XMAS SONGS!

    Here's a few to start:

    Here are a few off the top;

    Fleet Foxes - White Winter

Nick Cave -15 Feet of Pure White Snow

    Michael Martin Murphey - Wildfire

    Peggy Lee - Winter Weather

    Counting Crows - Long December
I call my bathroom Jim instead of John so I can tell people that I go to the Jim first thing every morning.

If you say the word 'gullible' very slowly it sounds just like oranges.

    Also...

Deepchord presents Echospace - The Coldest Season

Rod Modell with Stephen Hitchell. They reportedly worked on The Coldest Season exclusively during the winter months of 2005-2007 in Chicago and Detroit. Spacey, atmospheric techno.

Yep, I like spacey, swirly kinda stuff when watching snow fall.

It was in the very first post...but here's the embedded vid for you anyway.

On YouTube, click on the "embed" button under the video. Then just copy and paste the link. Easy Peasy.

OOPS, completely missed that. Thanks FA

I tried to copy the embed link but it didn't show up on the post. Probably my lack of computer skills.

Edit, Found the issue. I didn't grab all of the link.

    You're welcome. It's worth repeating.

It's snowing like a bastard here right now! This thread is very appropriate.
