So I'm still looking for a better deal on an Epson 8500UB.

I was hoping, as someone mentioned, the price would come down quite a bit in the summer since the new models usually appear in the fall, but they've held steady at about $2100 or so at most places. I did find one advertised at CentralDigital.com for about $1980.00, and that would be with free shipping, a 25' HDMI cable, and no sales tax since I'm out of state.

I'm reluctant to pull the trigger, figuring prices will drop right after I place my order, and I still haven't run my speaker wires and such. I will still need to paint a bit and create my 110" screen from that white laminate, so I guess I should wait.

Has anyone heard of a better deal out there? I keep searching the net but this is truly the best I can find so far.

3D may be slowing down this year's crop of new projectors. http://www.projectorcentral.com/proj...s&entry_id=333

Looks like you have a fairly good price at this point. http://www.projectorcentral.com/onli...m?part_id=5157

Thanks for the info. I getting more quotes...

...and will see if anyone can beat the one I mentioned.

One way for me to get this even cheaper is for all the members here would kick in a few bucks. Seriously. Once we do that, then you can start your own fund for speakers or whatever. If that sounds good, PM me and you can send your check today!

Hi Pot, my name is "Big Effin' Kettle"...
So, I broke into the palace
With a sponge and a rusty spanner
She said : "Eh, I know you, and you cannot sing"
I said : "That's nothing - you should hear me play piano"

No deposit on bottles here in PA. I could still save the empties for you if you like.

    Did someone say pot?
