Mr. Peabody.....You let one slip through!

MrPeabody...I know you where trying to get rid of stuff you did not like, but there was one very good Jewel in the whole bunch that is worth keeping...(the rest goes to the good will) and I cant believe you let it get away. IF you want it back, I will hand it over but if not its a keeper. Its not 100% mint but i would say its 97% mint due to a small scratch on side 2. But its outstanding Classical. Its a very outstanding recording.

Look at what a new pressing at 45 rmp sells for.

    LSC-2129 45 rpm x 3 LPs

    Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto/ Heifetz, violin
    Fritz Reiner

    Classic Records (RCA Living Stereo)

    $150.00

I think the copy I have may be an original...the only date I can find on the Album Cover is 1958....IF you want it back I will give it to you. If not, its a keeper. This thing sounds so good.

If any one knows more about the release of this recording then state it here please as I am not sure if the date on the album cover is a release date.

Strong show of character winston, Greenies for you...

I have that particular work on SACD and it is indeed magnificent.

I said : "That's nothing - you should hear me play piano"

No, Frenchie, you can keep it. I'm not one to collect music due to the value but more whether I'd listen to it. I love Tchaicowski but listen to Classical more on CD. The fact that you would listen to it and enjoy it is a better thing. If I had known ahead of time it may be worth $100.00 I may have kept it to sell so I could buy other music. I did have some Lenny Bruce LP's that I think were worth something. I need to check to make sure they didn't get mixed up with a batch I sold some time back. Too bad you weren't into vinyl then I had over 150 LP's stacked up. I sold them as a batch. I appreciate you offering to give it back though, good man.

I shot myself in the foot one other time selling some LP's. This guy just wanted to pick through them. Any way he picked out a Monty Python and after paying me proceeded to explain that the particular album had two sides recorded on one side and depending on what groove your needle started in is what side you heard. A collector friend told me it was only worth about $20.00 so I didn't give away the kids college fund. $20.00 is more than he paid me for the few LP's though

Actually, it was this friend who gave me the batch of LP's that one was out of. Maybe you had better see what those Nancy Sinatra are worth

Hi MrP...Its not the price of the LP that's important to me with this Album...Its the fantastic playing of the Violin Concert backed by the Chicago Orchestra. Plus its an outstanding recording. Thanks...it will now have a permanent home he with me.
