Here's a little something for your home.

It's called a Terra Charger, and we sell it in our furniture store. Retails for $123.99, but we'll let you have it for $60.

Just thought someone in here would want it since it looks like a big woofer.

A decorative charger plate is an elegant and underused element of a place setting. Also known as a chop plate, service plate, or underplate, a charger plate gets its "decorative" label because it never directly touches any food; instead it functions as an aesthetic resting place onto which food-bearing dishes and bowls are placed. A charger plate is usually larger than a dinner plate but smaller than a food-serving platter. As it need not hold food, it can be made out of a wider range of materials than regular dishes. In addition to standard china, plates made of metal, wood, mother of pearl, and even leather can be found.

I'm going to suggest that if you were to use it as a placemat, being the boor you are, dishes would slide off, as it stands upright on a stand, permanently attached.

But if it stands upright and you used it to put your plate on, wouldn't all the food fall off?

Okay, then how does this happen?

aesthetic resting place onto which food-bearing dishes and bowls are placed
Oh, and why am I reading a thread about a useless dish, of all things?
And the world will turn to flowing pink vapor stew.

No. Don't delete the thread. We need to get to the bottom of this. How do I rest my dish on this thing if it's upright on a permanent stand?

Do you have any tin dishes? Think Swan station.
