Alright to use 40 WPC Stereo Receiver with 150 watt Scott Speakers

The Speakers are 4 way 6 driver with 15 inch woofers. The Stereo Receiver is a Kenwood KR-4070. Powerful enough to drive these speakers? The speakers say 10-150 watts.

Yes, but be careful. It's much easier to harm a speaker with too little power than too much. Wattage ratings on speakers mean almost nothing. If you feel the sound straining at a given volume turn it down. If you blow the tweeters it's usually because you have insufficient power.

If you want your sound loud then you need more power.

The 10-150 watts spec refers to the range of recommended power ratings. In other words, a 10 watts amp falls within the recommendation, as does a 150 watt amp...and of course a 40 watt amp.

    Get a Camera, they're cheap!

You will be fine as long as you don't "crank" the amp to the point of clipping. You'll know when the sound starts distorting, then you'd better turn it down or you'll have fried egg tweeters for breakfast. Variables to consider are:
    1. Your personal taste, loud, middle, or soft listening habits.
    2. Sensitivity of speakers @ 1 Watt/1 Meter
    3. The specifications of the power rating output of the Kenwood are measured at 8 ohms, and the impedance of the speakers are 8 ohms as well.
If everybody had everything they wanted, the world would be a pretty boring place :)
