I'm liking most of these, at least on first listen.

Obviously, the Spoon track is not "first listen" for me. The Broken Bells, Surfer Blood and Smith Western tracks are some other winners. I'll keep 'em all, except the rap track and (possibly) the chamber music / string quartet thingy.

Elf Pee: That'd be your problem, not mine.

Slosh: Someone told me that SXSW has some incredibly vast archive of live tracks available for free download. I looked around their site and didn't find it. Maybe it exists on some torrent site or something, I dunno.

Broken Bells is my album of the year thus far. It's easily as good as any Shins album. Buy it!

Funny thing happened Friday. My boss, who I've worked with for 17 years and who has always had abysmal taste in music, gave me a copy of it as I was walking out the door to start my weekend. He said it sounded like the sort of thing I'd like... and he was right!

I'm only 2 spins in, but I'm liking it plenty. That guy from the Shins has never sounded so self-assured.

I didn't know anything about this project until this thread. I'm streaming it from their web site and it's good. I'll have to pick it up later in the week.
