    Martin Logan forum

I joined the Martin Logan Club forum the other day and posted a question about the Grotto and Abyss subs and no one even greeted me as a new member or answered my questions.
I know its a small forum but my post has over 30 views. Whats up with that?

Actually Mr. P. I did some browsing on the ML subs on the forum and you would be surprised at how many people there have or have had Maggies. The general consensus there is that the Magnepan 1.6's are a great bargain at their price point and that ML can't compete with them at that price but when you move up to the $5000 price and higher that ML speakers are much better than anything that Magnepan has to offer. I was quite surprised myself to see so many ML boys own up to that.

Perhaps they too were interested in a response from someone who had experienced them.

Could be. I own the full compliment of ML's except either of the subs...wouldn't really have a valuable contribution.

I said : "That's nothing - you should hear me play piano"

Well I've finally gotten some responses of welcome. A couple of people use the ML Depth sub and one guy uses a Velodyne DD. Man, the guys that responded have some high dollar equipment (Plinnius and Pass gear) and very nice listening rooms.
