    Found 2 Comps

I was cleaning out my storage closet where all my CDs are housed, and found a stack of what I assumed were blank CDs & DVDs. I'm sitting with my laptop checking the discs to make sure they are blank, when I find 2 gems in the stack. I haven't listened to either in a long time, and at some point they obviously became separated from their case/tracklist. No info was encoded on the disc, so I listened to both, was wowed by the music, and pieced together the tracklists. Doing a little Rave Rec searching, I found them.

Nice find, JD. I just picked up the Magnolia Electric Co. album with Talk to Me Devil, again. Better late than never.

I just played one of your comps last week and wondered where/how you were.

    Cheers!

I've got all of mine in binders, and I mean all of them. Last week I pulled out Christmas comps by Mr. Midfi and you. That took me to some others I hadn't spun in years, which was nice.

Too many discs, way too little time.

Wanna feel old? You know that little girl on the cover, with the Santa hat?
We've been touring college campuses with her lately.

Even I forgot about that one. Most of those songs were soundboard recordings from archive.org. I haven't checked that site in ages. Speaking of which just the other night on a 2 hour car ride I listened to that stellar Calexico show from Stockholm - April, 2003. Never did find another show with such good recording quality there but plenty of cool stuff nonetheless.

One of these days I should do an all covers comp. Calexico doing Link Ray, Califone doing 'Stones, etc. Could be really good.

I must have received the "b" quality merchandise, I have you on the cover : )

I know what you mean, Mason is off to college in August too. If he can keep his act together a while longer that is...
