    Noddin's Decade 2000-9 Comp

OK. Now I’ve got Noddin’s Decade 2000-9 Comp ready. Have at it. No claims or assurances offered that there is anything startling good here; or novel. I just thought it was a fun challenge. Since there’s obviously so much to select from, I imposed a few criteria on myself.

    1) No more than 2 per year
    2) No repeat artists, except for Devotchka
    3) Try to avoid things out on my previous comps
    4) Must be in chronological order
    5) Try to make it still flow as an ‘album’

Then, I picked stuff that was ‘sticky’ for me; ‘sticky’ meaning things that stuck in my mind as memorable for one reason or another, or rooted me to the time. Obviously, these subjective things will likely make no sense to the listener, and they don’t necessarily mean that things are on the list because they are ‘good’. This is a comp of things that I got kicks out of over the last 10 years and that I still go back to for a host of ‘sticky’ reasons - they were novel, they associate with fun times, they introduced me to something different, they were weird, made me laugh, etc. The last few years see a lot of stuff from other AR comps. Thanks, for you all for turning me on to something new!

Again, I’ve got 3 different links for you. They all go to Mediafire and let you download individual tracks. The mp3 is one zipped download. There’s a PDF of jewel case art at each link if you’re interested. I went through the hoops to make all the files behave and be tagged as a single album (Noddin’s Decade 2000-9 Comp) with tracks in proper order. You should be able to drag and drop files into your player/system of choice, hassle free.

Of course, for the luddites out there, PM me if you want a hard copy.

iTunes users should go for this one (532 Mb)

FLAC aficionados take this one (532 MB)

MP3 folks (you don’t have to admit it), this one (85 MB).

The whole thing is nearing but under 80 minutes. Tracks are as follows. If you're not going to leave comments, do try the poll thingy. It's not going to hurt my ego.

Actually it clocks in at 82:18 but who's counting?

The Grapes of Wrath put out something this year? Did they release a full album? If so, how is it?
And the world will turn to flowing pink vapor stew.

LOL. That was an oversight wasn't it. Let's see if I can still edit my rules...

I call my bathroom Jim instead of John so I can tell people that I go to the Jim first thing every morning.

If you say the word 'gullible' very slowly it sounds just like oranges.
